We teach and play American Mahjong using the current official NMJL card and rules. Variations from other Mahjong styles — including Chinese, Hong Kong, Riichi/Japanese, Taiwanese, Singaporean, or “house rules” — are not used during Bamboo Belles events unless specifically stated otherwise.
